The Austral Bricks operations at Cardup has established a dedicated community consultation website to provide greater transparency.
The community consultation page will mean that information previously only provided to the Cardup Stakeholder Consultation Group (SCG), will be publicly available through the Austral Bricks website. This will include agendas and meeting minutes.
Austral Bricks WA General Manger David Johnson said the new consultation measures demonstrates the company’s commitment to the local community.
“Austral Bricks has been operating from the Cardup site for more than 100 years and is proud of its operations and its role in the community. Thousands of local people have worked with us to create products for the built environment. As we are a key local industry, we want to share our news and seek feedback from our community,” Mr Johnson said.
“Austral Bricks is subject to rigorous obligations for site operations and has a strong track record of compliance. We are open and transparent about our site operations and future plans, through regular engagement with the SCG. This transparency will be widened to the broader community”.
