Jim Yang is Arcadis’ Senior Technical Director & Regional Technical Director of Geotechnics and Tunnelling for the Australian Region with responsibilities that include team leadership and the technical delivery of all major projects. Since joining Arcadis, Jim has built the geotechnical and tunnelling team into a group that can provide full geotechnical and specialist tunnelling services from site investigation through to detailed design.

Jim is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience in leadership, management and design of infrastructure and building structures within Australia and overseas. He has published over 60 technical papers and invited lectures. Jim was the co-chairman for the China Tunnel and Bridge Summit in 2012, 2016 and 2018.

Kim is a senior civil and structural engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in design and construction in commercial, transport and infrastructure sectors in Australia, Hong Kong and South East Asia. He has a wide breadth of experience from infrastructure to architectural structures with recent project accomplishments in Melbourne’s transport network and underground structures. These include Springvale Road Grade Separation, Caulfield to Dandenong Elevated Rail and Melbourne Metro. This experience has provided Kim with a complete understanding of multi-disciplinary design and can effectively work in a key design manager role and structural lead role.
