Sacha Coles established ASPECT Studios in 1993, and opened the Sydney studio in 1999, eventually becoming an internationally recognised and awarded firm of designers, landscape architects and urbanists connected by a collective purpose to create projects that challenge and delight, whilst enhancing the lives of people and natural systems in an enduring way.

For over two decades, their design process has been focused on bringing together and expressing the essential qualities of place, the landscape, its history, social rituals and cultural significance, championing creative solutions that adopt a human-centred and ecologically responsive approach to the design of built and natural environments.

As Director of Design & Strategy at Aspect Studios, Sacha has become a globally renowned design leader with a record of excellence in creating public projects of transformational change. Sacha challenges a ‘business as usual’ approach, continually aiming to delight and embody positivity in each project.

His strength stems from his relationships with collaborators including leading artists, scientists and other specialists, and his ability to work seamlessly in meaningful ways with multi-sector project partnerships.
